Changes to levy-related mail collection and non-electronic banking services

This notice is to inform you of the changes to levy-related mail collection and non-electronic banking services as part of the Australian Government’s response to limit the spread of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Australia.

Changes to our working arrangements

The Australian Public Service Commissioner, Peter Woolcott AO, has released guidance for government agencies to facilitate working from home arrangements for staff where it is operationally feasible to do so. This means that most of our levies staff will now work from home for the foreseeable future.

Changes to our mail collection and non-electronic banking services

The department has engaged a third-party service provider to manage all mail collection and non-electronic banking service.

This means there may be slight delays in processing manual returns, cheques and/or money order payments.
